To eVet, Flexineb and Duggan Veterinary group, for their support to us with a fab new Nebuliser!

This nebuliser will greatly help three of our current horses who have been assessed with different

needs for a nebuliser. It is a great piece of kit and will also help others in the future here at HRH.

One horse in particular has been struggling and we are excited to see how this new nebuliser will help!

When we contacted eVet, they were immediately interested in helping us in any way that they could.

They reached out to one of their suppliers, Duggan Veterinary Group, who also wanted to support us and supplied one of their Flexineb E3 Complete Kits.

Hopton Rehab & Homing Centre depend on support such as this and we are especially delighted when small independent companies and organisations help us with their expertise, services and financial support.

Thank you once again – from our staff, supporters and all of our equines – we are delighted!

From time to time we have horses that are not ready for rehoming. This may be because they are youngsters that remain with us until they are backed. Others may be difficult to rehome due to health or behavioural issues. We also call on our fosters if the centre is full and we need to provide for an overflow of horses that need help.

Foster agreements are very bespoke depending on the needs of the horse. Some are short term summer or winter fosterlings; some are long term and in very exceptional cases they are permanent.

We currently have 7 foster homes and we are very grateful to have their support. Foster homes must be local to the centre and the fostered horses will still have a profile looking for their potential forever home.

Volunteer

We are always grateful to hear from people wanting to volunteer.  Whatever your skillset. Just give us a call for an informal chat on how we could help each other.

Here’s what one of our volunteer staff had to say.

“The Trustees at HRH were delighted when I offered to help and together we have made quite a difference in a very short space of time.  I have received support and thanks so many times during my time here and I’m looking forward to helping and learning more. My volunteering work with HRH has also helped me find a job in the third sector which I thoroughly enjoy”.

Depending on your availability there are a variety of ways in which you can help us, whether it be as a one-off at an event, fundraising, or ongoing at the stables, just let us know what interests you and we’ll see where we can accommodate you!

Leaving a legacy in your Will is one of the best ways of ensuring that we can continue our valuable work. We are committed to giving horses & ponies in the UK the correct loving and secure homes which they deserve and nearly all of our work is paid for by donations.

By making a Will you can ensure that your wishes, and the people and causes you care about, are provided for.

A gift in your will, however small or large, can help ensure we can always be here for the benefit of horses and humans.

We've partnered with FreeWills.co.uk to provide all our supporters with the opportunity to make their own fully comprehensive Will for free. You can make your personalised Will online in three simple steps, from the comfort of your own home and with live support from their Will specialists.

There’s no obligation to leave a gift to us, but we do hope you do so to enable us to continue our important work.

Sponsor A Horse

All the horses and ponies that arrive at HRH have a period of assessment followed by rehabilitation and training as required. Before they find their forever homes, the charity must bear the cost of this process. Even if you are unable to give a horse or pony a new home, you can help by contributing towards the care of a particular horse or pony. You will receive regular updates on his or her progress and will have the opportunity to visit them.

Izzy

Izzy came to us earlier this summer when his owner’s personal circumstances changed. He has settled well, but he is sensitive to change. He progressive condition called ‘shivers’, hence he will be better suited to remain under our care for his later years so we can closely monitor his health and diet. He would love a sponsor to assist with his costs. We would encourage his sponsor to visit him at the yard and smother him in love and cuddles.

Keela

Keela is rising 3yrs and is a mare that just doesn't stop growing!! She is going to be quite something. She came to us as a rescue to assist another charity when she was a yearling. She will not be available for rehoming until she is backed and ridden away. Keela is looking for a sponsor to help cover her costs through the summer months and she goes on her holidays through the winter to a foster home.
